Thanks to all for a great year! Karen's Place is closed for the summer.

See you in September when we reopen with Obadiah!

Obadiah

September 18

Karen's Place kicks off our 14th season with one of our favorite blues-rock bands. Obadiah is involved in various prison ministries in the area but still hits a few of the local coffee shops and biker fests. This is one tight band and has been performing for many years. Tom's vocals and guitar riffs are stellar. The music is blues-rock, the message is all gospel.

Kevin St. Michael

October 2

Kevin St. Michael is a singer-songwriter, muti-instrumentalist based out of upstate New York. He is a weathered and worn blend of rock, gospel, blues, folk and jazz. Kevin has the ability to sound both fresh and familiar at the same time. He embraces his musical roots but refuses to be limited by them. With a spirit of experimentation and creative spark, Kevin's God inspired songs are masterful.

Flint Zeigler

October 16

Our 13th Anniversary

Prizes and Giveaways

Flint Zeigler's "New Harmony Sessions" has received solid praise from press across the board, "There's a lot of strength and honesty here..... urgent and reflective, with much to recommend the disc...". "Zeigler proves that he is a thoughtful songwriter that doesn't over do it.". " ....eleven autobiographical songs on 'New Harmony Sessions' that are among the most enjoyable I've heard in 2009; Zeigler is a master story-teller in song." His live shows have been met with the same enthusiasm where he easily captivates his audiences with his inspiring lyrics, mesmerizing voice and delicate yet powerful guitar playing.  From bars and coffeehouses to festivals and support for major label acts, Flint is a soulful, heartfelt and entertaining performer.

Dave Pettigrew

November 6

Show will be taped for a future TV broadcast

Continuing the fruitful collaboration that made “Somebody I'm Supposed to Be” a resounding success, Dave Pettigrew releases “Every Minute Miracles”.  Along with producer/co-writer Frank Di Minno and a cast of excellent studio musicians, Dave continues to write pointed pop songs that hit the listeners where they live. "I'm still trying to get people to think more about God on a daily basis," he says. "There's always something new to learn about God and how he works within our lives." For the past two years, he has taken his mission on the road, wowing audiences in the New York tri-state area with his passionate performances and the band's stellar musicianship.

Kimberly Praay

November 20

My musical career has been a journey.  An ever changing, ever evolving and full of surprises journey. I've been recording my own songs for 15 years. After 5  full band cd's , 3 acoustic cd's, 1 children's cd and 2 holiday cd's , I have grown as a writer and producer.  Now, with my own studio, I'm free to explore and expand what I record. I'm continuing to write for tv and film , but I still love performing songs that touch people and get them to think, grow and move.  Who knows where I will be lead, but I am confident in the God who allows changes to come, and feel very blessed to still be making music after all these years.

November 21

The B-Attitudes

December 3

The B-Attitudes are a Lehigh Valley-based gang of veteran musicians who have recently joined forces out of the fray of Praise and Worship, Classic Rock, R&B-Soul, Punk rock, Hip-Hop and Singer/Songwriter histories. The B-Attitudes write their own songs, love loud guitars and vocal harmonies and most importantly, do it all for God's glory.
God has been opening up doors for Contemporary Worship nights, Youth Group functions and Coffee Houses. The B-Attitudes were finalists in WZZO's 2009 Backyard Bands and Skylands Music Festival 2009 Battle of the Bands

Wendy Schettig

January 15

I ran my own music store right after I graduated High School in Camden, Maine. I learned to play ragtime and blues. I began to write music that
expressed my inner most thoughts and searching heart. At age 24, I chose to leave Maine in search of God. Thankfully, through a number of circumstances, I found God and my songwriting turned to Christian music. Much of my music has become a
testimony in song as I continue to grow in my faith in Jesus Christ.
