HEY ALL! :)

I'm going into the studio in June and I need your help! I need to raise funds for recording so I'm doing a presale fundraiser for the album.
You can pre-purchase a copy of the album now, and you'll get a shiny brand new album when it's released in September! Not only THAT but participating in the presale also will get you access to a download of ALL THE NEW SONG DEMOS so you can listen to new music right now! I would be so so grateful for your support.                         Right now I'm at the point where even one kind word, one gesture of encouragement is keeping me going. And I really hope you will all LOVE the new songs. They are shy, but heart-filled songs and I can't wait to have you all hearing the studio versions!
Thanks and visit the Sukey Rose Project page for updates on recording!

Your very own singer/songwriter,
-Mia

Mindy Boyd  - September 20

Mindy Boyd is a songwriter, and has been writing her own music since the age of 6. As a little girl on a swing in her front yard, she would sing her thoughts and feelings about life, family, nature, and God. Now as an adult, she continues to express her thoughts and feelings about these things in a style that both captivates the listener and conveys the emotions of her heart. Her years of experience, both in leading worship and performing on-stage, have given her the ability to communicate in a way that is natural and easy to relate to. Authenticity and vulnerability are what she strives for in her music, and when listening to Mindy sing, you quickly realize that you have been invited into the most candid entries of her journal. “Mindy’s music has its roots as much in today’s Americana movement as it does in the singer/songwriter explosion of the late 60’s. She has the uncanny ability to pull from personal experience and weave it together in an allegorical fashion that is absent in much of today’s popular music. On stage, her lithe approach to the song and unique style of storytelling is both refreshing and captivating.”
--Tim Neely, producer.

Only Human  - October 4

Alexis Hoover, at the age of 21, has appeared on numerous television programs and radio stations. Most recently she was on a compilation CD ‘Serenity House’ alongside some popular international artists such as; ASIA, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, Kathy Sledge of Sister Sledge, and Annie Haslam of Renaissance. Even though Alexis has her own unique style of singing, her audiences have compared her to Natalie Merchant and the Bangles. In April of 2007 Alexis went to Slovenia in Europe with her vocal instructor Dave Kurtz and the youth praise team from Faith Alliance Church to talk about American culture in the Slovenian school. Presently Alexis can be seen performing with the band Only Human.

Alexis Hoover's voice rings pure like a bell. Her songs reach out and grab your ear and stay swimming gently around your head, in a good way. Her professionalism in the studio and on the stage rivals the greats in her class. Her vision to produce beauty is strong yet her ability to blend and compromise with other musicians is truly inspiring.

Rachanee- October 18
Our 11th Anniversary

Rachanee is a versatile independent singer/songwriter based in Michigan. Her catchy blend of folk/pop/rock music is quickly gaining attention nationwide at various venues and on College, Christian and AAA radio. "Rachanee has been compared to "Michelle Branch [and] Christian artist Jennifer Knapp, [with] a voice that can sound like Natalie Merchant" (Noise, Oct. 2003). Her music has a guitar-driven folk/rock feel; her heartfelt lyrics appeal to any audience. Here with Me" from Rachanee's debut album "Ordinary Girl" was named Best Contemporary Christian Song for the 2006 Independent Music Awards. Another song from her debut album, "From Here," placed second in the 2006 Great Lakes Songwriting Contest. And Rachanee’s latest release, “3 am,” was also a finalist for Best Contemporary Christian Album in the 2008 Independent Music Awards, while one of the new album's featured songs, "Leap of Faith," was a finalist in the 2007 USA Songwriting Competition.
